Once your certification is granted by the Department of Driver Services (DDS), you may retrieve motor vehicle reports by following the instructions listed below:
- Select Sign In button.
- Enter the assigned Customer ID on your certification notice that you received from DDS.
- Enter the assigned User ID Number that you received from DDS. Each User ID has been authorized by DDS for a single purpose (Insurance, Credit, Employment, Car Rental or LRI).
- Enter your Password and click the Submit button.
- If your Password is expired, you will be asked to update
it. To update your Password, you must:
- Enter in your current Customer ID, User ID and Password.
- Enter in your new Password. Your new Password must:
- Be between 5 and 8 characters long.
- Contain at least one letter and one number. Only numbers and letters permitted.
- Not have been used previously.
- Verify your new Password and click Submit.
- On the Inquiry screen, select the number of years needed for your report.
- Enter the First and Last name of the person whose report is being requested.
- Enter the Date of Birth and License or Social Security Number of the person whose report is being requested.
- The Comments field can contain any notes you want to appear at the bottom of the MVR. This field is optional.
- Click Submit.
- If a record is found, it will appear on the next page. Please note: Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) will charge a fee per inquiry, whether a record is
found or not.
- If you want to print the report, use your browser's Print command.
Each user is responsible for the unauthorized
use of any MVR information as described in the Application For Motor
Vehicles Record form.
